Peggy Ann Knoll, November 18, 1960-February 2, 2025.

Peggy Anne Knoll, age 64 of Michigan City, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was born with Angelman Syndrome in Waterloo, IA on November 18, 1960, to Airman William Knoll and Susan Hickman. 

Peggy's nicknames were "Giggles" or  "Snicklefritz" and she was known for her joyfulness and happy demeanor. She had excellent support and care from her family (especially Brenda) and the many caretakers throughout her life. 

She is survived by her mother, Susan Hickman; sisters Mary (Tim) Ford and Brenda (Bruce) Zirzow; and brothers William (Peggy) Knoll, Jr. and Steven (Tammi) Hickman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Peggy was predeceased by her birth father, William Knoll in 1961 and her father, James Hickman in 2017. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN, where a visitation will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:30 until service time at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Larry Owens and Pastor Tim Ahlemeyer, First United Methodist Church, officiating. A private burial for Peggy will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
