Barbara "Barb" Ann Clark

Barbara "Barb" Ann Clark, 86, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Brickyard Terrace.

Barbara was born on January 29, 1938, in La Porte, IN, to Kenneth and Charlotte (Reiser) Baker.

Barb married Joseph Raymond "Ray" Clark who preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Michael (Angela) Clark of Oak Lawn, IL, Kathi (Gary) Tilling of La Porte, Jeanne (Steven) Mott of La Porte, and Mark (Shannon) Clark of La Porte; 3 grandchildren, Erin (Cameron) Nafziger of Goshen, Tyler Tilling of La Porte, and Michael Clark of Oaklawn, IL; great-grandson, Parker Nafziger; sisters, Carol Kuta and Marilyn Miller; many cousins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Barb spent many years at Prudential Insurance where she expertly navigated the work of policies and premiums making sure her client's loved ones were cared for in the event of a family member's passing. Although she officially left the insurance world, she still never missed a chance to give unsolicited advice.

Barb loved shopping so much, that she considered it "retail therapy" and a medical necessity. Shopping was like a full-time job; when it came to changing her mind, well, good luck. She was as stubborn as a bargain hunter refusing to pay full price. If you told her "no", she'd find ten different ways to say "watch me". Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson were no strangers to her determined spirit and followed in her footsteps in their unique ways. They inherited her most important trait: the ability to speak up for themselves and others.

Barb enjoyed planning her high school reunions, shopping at Macy's and TJ Maxx, sewing, and playing cards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Cremation will take place following the service.
