He retired after 51 years as a Millwright from Bethlehem Steel, Arcelor-Mittal Steel, and Cleveland Cliffs, Burns Harbor, Indiana.   He was an instructor for numerous enrichment programs at the Burns Harbor Plant.  Paul volunteered to prepare lunches for unhoused people of Michigan City under the roof of a local church.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his true love was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren giving them treats and cookies.  Importantly though, when he heard the ice cream vendor van with the music playing, he would chase it down and bring it back to his home providing ice cream to all the neighborhood kids.  Paul enjoyed watching a good TV movie and researching geology. He was the Pipe Major for Caledonia Kilty Band, Mishawaka, Indiana, and played his Bagpipes for many funerals.
