Linda Ann Pliske

Linda Ann Pliske, January 13, 1952 - January 15, 2025.
Linda Ann Pliske, 73, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 6:25 a.m. in her home with her husband David by her side.
Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.  The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM on Monday in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. 
She was born January 13, 1952, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Clarence J. and Helen J.(Wrobel) Tylisz. On May 26, 1973, in Michigan City, Indiana she married David J. Pliske who survives in La Porte, Indiana.  Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Bardusk of La Porte, Indiana, and Bernadette (Ryan) Dunckel of Williamston, Michigan; son, Jim (Michelle) Pliske of Three Oaks, Michigan; six grandchildren, Mae Bardusk, Michael Pliske, Jacob Pliske, David Pliske, Gianna Dunckel, and Gabriel Dunckel; sister, Sandra (Tony) Balsama of Michigan City, Indiana; five brothers, Joseph Tylisz of Three Oaks, Michigan, Larry Tylisz of Michigan City, Indiana, Michael Tylisz of St. Joseph, Michigan, Robert (Pat) Tylisz of Michigan City, Indiana, and Thomas Tylisz of Michigan City, Indiana.
Linda was a life member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she volunteered for numerous church functions including festivals, Bingo, and sacristan, and provided and served refreshments for the runners in the annual St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 5K race.  She also made thousands of rosaries and donated them to schools, missionaries, and religious education groups. Linda also took great pleasure in homemaking, excelling in baking, cooking, cleaning, and gardening, and dedicated to her family life, grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and many others. She also assisted with a Lupus Support Group mostly securing speakers for those events.
