Ronald Conrad, 64, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, in his home.
He was born March 12, 1960, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Iva Conrad and Betty (Miles) Conrad.
On January 1, 2008, in Danville, Illinois, he married Chris Conrad who preceded him in death. Throughout his career in the construction industry, Ronald applied his skills and knowledge with dedication, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. His commitment to his craft was evident in every project he undertook, earning him the respect of colleagues and clients. Beyond his professional life, Ronald was a man of many hobbies and interests. He found joy in riding his Harley motorcycle, often enjoying the open road and the freedom it brought him. In addition to his adventures on two wheels, Ronald was also an enthusiastic cook, experimenting with new recipes and flavors to share with his family and friends. His love for gardening gave him peace and satisfaction, nurturing plants that blossomed beautifully under his care. Ronald's profound affection for his family was evident to all who knew him. His beloved dog, Lily, was a constant companion, sharing in the daily joys and comforts of his life. The bonds he built with his family were unbreakable, with Ronald often demonstrating his love through acts of kindness and unwavering support.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Conrad; five daughters, Krystal Conrad, Paige Hayman, Nikki (Preston) Messer, Jessica Wrightsman, Alexis Wrightsman; two sons, Shane Lambert, and Zach Wrightsman; brother, Dwayne (Amber) Conrad; sister, Rhonda (Howard) Lindley; ten grandchildren, Damien, Zoe (Forrest), Arden, Brynlee, Violet, Lucas, Emma, Ava, Ayden, Zoe; five great-grandchildren, Odin, Luca, Otis, Novalyn, Kylo; and very close friend, Renee.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Chris Conrad; father, Iva Conrad; three sons, Chance Conrad, Jeremey Hayman, and Bruce Abernathy; nephew, Dylan.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Cremation has taken place.
