William O'Dell Whitmer, 49, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Brickyard Health-La Porte Care Center.

William was born on August 21, 1975, in KY, to Bonnie S. (Whitmer) Ramey.

He is survived by his children, Iveri Whitmer of La Porte, Effie Ward of Mattoon, IL, Dayton Whitmer of La Porte, Bradley White of Watertown, NY, Taylor Whitmer of Elkhart, and Angela Whitmer of MI; sister, Sonia Lyons of Russellville, KY; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

William is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vonnie Ramey.

He enjoyed music, playing guitar, buying and selling audio equipment, watching Ghost Adventures, and riding his motorcycle.  William will be fondly remembered, by his children, for his love of sweets.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
