Henry J. Nevorski, Jr., 87, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 7:16 pm in Life Care Center of Michigan City.
Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born August 3, 1937, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Henry J. and June (Brown) Nevorski, Sr. On August 18, 1962, in Michigan City, IN, he married Suzanne Sobkowiak who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynn Marie (Bryan) Gruenberg of Web City, MO, and Cynthia Sue Townsel of Michigan City, IN; son, Timothy (Jennifer Albertson) Nevorski of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren, Amanda, Heidi, Jillian, Julian, Jordan, and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren, Gregory, Zakia, Liam, Jamesyn, Jaxon, Brooklyn and Solenne; two sisters, Sharon (Tony) Gralik of Michigan City, IN and Susan Nevorski of Baytown, TX; and nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Morgan; and two brothers, Donald Nevorski and Terry Nevorski.
Henry retired as a foreman at the South Shore Railroad and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He enjoyed bowling, softball, yard work, and helping his family. Henry was an avid fan of several Chicago sports teams and Notre Dame.
