Betty L. Bauer, 87, from Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at 10:03 pm in Rittenhouse Senior Living of Michigan City. 
There will be no services. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born December 13, 1937, in Michigan City, IN, to the late George and Lydia (Bleck) Staffel. In 1955 in Michigan City, IN, she married John Bauer who preceded her on October 17, 2024.
Surviving are a daughter, Lorri (Gregory) Plante of Bellingham, WA; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. 
She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Bauer; sister, Joan Staffel; and her brother, Carroll Staffel.
Betty had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Bormann. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
