Elizabeth Gloria Blankenship

Elizabeth Gloria Blankenship, 75, of La Porte, IN, unexpectedly passed away on December 22, 2024, at Northwest Health La Porte, with her family by her side. 

Elizabeth was born on July 14, 1949, in La Porte, IN, to Dean and Alice Gloria (Callander) Kreamer. 

On May 13, 1977, in Rolling Prairie, IN, she married Carl Blankenship, who survives. Also surviving are her 4 children, Kimberly Blankenship of La Porte, Kristy Blankenship of Michigan City, Michael (Lindsey) Blankenship of La Porte, and Jamie (Rufino) Gayton of New Carlisle; 6 grandchildren, David Blankenship of South Bend, Matthew (Jessica) Blankenship of South Bend, Karli Gayton of New Carlisle, Aria Gayton of New Carlisle, Rufino Gayton III of New Carlisle, and Donte Blankenship of Michigan City; 3 great-grandchildren, Finnley, Noelle, and Marlowe Blankenship; 5 siblings, Jonathan (Ron) Kreamer of San Diego, CA, Jonathan Kreamer of San Diego, CA, Rebekah (Terry) O'Krey of La Porte, Mary (Rex) Schmaltz of La Porte, Sarah (Tony) Konieczny of La Porte, and Susanna Kreamer of La Porte;  sisters-in-law, Dorinda Kreamer of La Porte, Marilyn (Del) Brock of La Porte, and Shirley Blankenship of La Porte; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and close friends to the family.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Blankenship; parents; 3 brothers, Paul, Timothy, and Michael Kreamer; and sisters-in-law, Rebecca Shipton and Leta (Jack) Vandewalker.

Elizabeth worked many years as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, CB's Repair Shop, but her preferred occupation was as a stay-at-home mom.  She enjoyed watching various sports, including those in which her children and grandchildren participated.  Elizabeth was a faith-filled woman who dearly loved her family and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them.  She was a self-proclaimed comedian and will be fondly remembered for her ability to keep everyone laughing. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
