John C. Mills, 64 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, December 9, 2024.

John was born on August 7, 1960, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Richard and Mary (Watson) Mills.

John was a construction worker with Tonn and Blank Construction Company and Mills Construction Company.  John was a huge Chicago and South Bend Cubs fan, who attended many games over the years.

Surviving are his sisters Karen Nieto and Lorrie Mills of Tucson, Arizona; a brother Michael Mills of Michigan City, Indiana; a sister-in-law Becky Mills of La Porte, Indiana; and his former wife Terri Bartos of La Porte, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; an uncle Charles Watson of Michigan City, Indiana; and a special cousin Kathleen Morgan. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mariann Williams, a brother, Jerry J. Mills, his parents; and grandparents, Harlan and Florence (Lock) Watson, and Willard Clifton and Henrietta (Kieffer) Mills. 

Cremation has taken place with Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, in LaPorte, Indiana.  A celebration of John's life will be scheduled this spring, close to the opening day of the Cubs 2025 season.
