Chester Mathew Kozlowski, 101, of La Porte, IN, passed away on November 22, 2024, at West Bend Nursing and Rehabilitation.  

Chester was born on September 4, 1923, in La Porte, IN, to John and Julia (Pataluch) Kozlowski.  

Surviving Chester are his sister, Agnes Craig of Michigan City; and several nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters, Sofie Gadzala, Lottie Mikolajewski, Mary Skwiat, and Adeline Levendowski; and 3 brothers, Stanley, Louis, and Leo Kozlowski.  

Chester proudly served in the United States Navy, where he was a Radar Man Third Class.  He was honorably discharged after three faithful years of service.  After serving his country, Chester was an engineer at various businesses and in various countries.  He was a member of PRCU and The Falcons.  In his younger years, Chester enjoyed golfing and gardening.  He will be fondly remembered for his love of daily reading the newspaper and listening to the radio.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 210 Bach St., La Porte, IN. Burial with full military honors will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
