Janet Fern Allen, 69, of La Porte, IN, passed away on November 5, 2024, at Miller's Health and Rehab.  

Janet was born on September 24, 1955, in Tulsa, OK, to Cyril H. and Marion J.  (Dailey) Miller. On May 12, 2014, in Las Vegas, NV, she married William "Bill" Allen who survives.  Also surviving Janet is her brother, William Miller; niece, Rachel Gabsi; nephews, Timothy and Thomas Miller; as well as numerous cousins.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.  

Janet worked many years as a secretary at the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists in Burleson, TX. She was a member of the La Porte Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed visiting and eating out with her lady friends.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at La Porte Seventh-day Adventist Church with Vilo Weiss officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Pine Lake Cemetery.  

A time of visitation will be held from 2 - 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at La Porte Seventh-day Adventist Church and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the church.
