Stephen Lee Scholl, 80, from La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Keith McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and from 10:00 a.m. until time service Wednesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
He was born on December 26, 1943, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Frederick and Gertrude (McMichael) Scholl. In 2003, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Kathleen (Graff) Scholl, who survives in La Porte. Also surviving are his former wife, Sharon Scholl of Henderson, Nevada; one son, Terrance "Terry" Lee (Lisa) Scholl of La Porte, Indiana; step-daughter, Maria (Christopher) Lack of La Quinta, California; two step-sons, Dr. John (Lindsay) Szczepaniak of Littleton, Colorado and Stephen Szczepaniak of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Brittany (Mitchel) Black, Ashley Scholl, and Ian Scholl; four great-grandchildren, Elias, Ava, Isaiah, and Eleanor Black; two step-grandchildren, Lucy and Jack Szczepaniak; and his beloved dog, Chloe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved dog, Cali.
Steve was the Owner and President of Scholl Dairy and a member of Notre Dame
Catholic Church. He was an avid car and Lionel train enthusiast and collector. He was always full of life, living life to the fullest. Steve was the sunshine of those who were close to him. He was kind, generous, caring and could never say "No" to family. His smile and character will never be forgotten.
