Debra "Deb" Ann Perkins, 70, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on November 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.  

Deb was born on May 24, 1954, in Knox, IN, to Calvin Clawson and Audrey (Whitaker) Clawson-Lehiy. 

On June 2, 1979, in Fish Lake, IN, she married Benjamin Perkins who survives. Also surviving are her 2 daughters, Angie (Chris) Ward of North Liberty and Meagan (Dallas) Uphold of New Carlisle; 7 grandchildren, Benjamin (Brittany) Coldiron, Aaron Ward, Rebekah Ward, Kayla Uphold, Nicholas Uphold, Thomas Uphold, and Bryce Uphold; 3 great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Benjamin and Wyatt Coldiron; brother, Ronnie (JoAnn) Clawson of Coquille, OR; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mike Clawson.   

Deb served the people of La Porte through her work at A&P Grocery, where she met Benjamin, and later at First National Bank and Coachman Antique Mall.  She enjoyed visiting antique stores, collecting antiques, and tending to her garden.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on Friday, November 08, 2024, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
