Phyllis Jane Logan

Phyllis Jane Logan, 72, of Greenwood, IN, unexpectedly passed away on October 18, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV.  

Phyllis was born on May 31, 1952, in La Porte, IN, to Leo and Caroline (Heck) Spence.  On May 5, 1973, in La Porte, IN, she married David, who preceded her in death. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Carissa (Jeff) Harden of Greenwood and Alyssa (Robert) Bentley of Indianapolis; 3 grandchildren, Avery, Emmett, and Maxwell Harden, all of Greenwood; many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews; as well as a beloved dog, Marty.  

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughters, Evelyn and Kennedy Bentley; and sisters, Carol Knowlton, Mary Spence, and Elizabeth Spence.  

Before her retirement, Phyllis worked as a laborer at Howmet.  She was a member of the VFW Auxilary #1130.  Phyllis enjoyed gardening, painting, walking Marty, playing the lottery, and traveling.  She was always looking for her next adventure.  Most importantly, Phyllis loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.  Phyllis was a devout Catholic, who was generous with her time and talents.  She loved being charitable and helping her friends, family, and neighbors.  Those who knew her are truly blessed.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Todd Goodson officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton.  A time of visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
