David Allen Kramer

David Allen Kramer, 62, of La Porte, Indiana passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday, September 21, 2024.  David was born in La Porte on August 27, 1962, to the late Allen and Dorothy (Schoof) Kramer. David resided in La Porte his entire life.

When not enjoying a can of Pepsi while riding his motorized scooter around the family property, David could be found watching reruns of “I Love Lucy” or socializing with relatives over the phone, particularly his favorite Aunt Jan. He also enjoyed watching his nephews’ baseball games, the county fair, and family get-togethers. David’s courage and resilience despite the many challenges he faced throughout his life will forever inspire all who knew and loved him. His family and friends will greatly miss his infectious smile, laughter, and personality.

Surviving is his sister, Theresa (John) Mohlke; nephews, Greg (Kayleen) Mohlke and Josh (Emily) Mohlke; aunts, Loretta Kramer, Karen Wojasinski, Marie Kramer, Jancie Hadella, and Phyllis Schoof; great-nephews, and great-nieces, Henry, Lucy, Madison, and Jack Mohlke; and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Dorothy.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Brickyard Terrace and its residents and many people who cared for and visited David during the final years of his life: Aunt Jan, Aunt Loretta, Bert, Jeri, Lisa, and Traditions Hospice nurse Ashley.
