Charles Anton Wellinski, 53, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away at Northwest Health La Porte on Saturday, September 14, 2024.  Charles was born on February 20, 1971, in South Bend, IN, to Richard and Mary Sue (Payne) Wellinski.

Surviving are his siblings, Suzanne (Eddie) Dowdy of La Porte, John (Stefanie) Wellinski of La Porte, James (Billie Jo) Wellinski of Florence, AL, and Lisa Linn of La Porte; and David (Ann) Engelbrecht of IA; his fiance', Denise Grossbauer of LaPeer, MI; as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gayle Turner; brother, Ed Turner; and great-niece, Makayla Ethridge.

Charles was a truck driver for years. He enjoyed music especially playing the piano and guitar.  Charles also liked watching the Cubs, Bears, and Notre Dame.  Most of all, he loved his family.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
