Kiara Jane Hootman

May 13, 2002 - August 15, 2024

Kiara was born at La Porte Hospital on May 13, 2002 to Allison Barth and Robert Hootman. Kiara was so full of life, she had a smile that would light up any room. She was tough on the outside and full of love on the inside with a big heart. Kiara enjoyed cooking restaurant quality meals and baking all sorts of desserts. She enjoyed listening, dancing and singing to new school and old school music. Kiara valued time to herself to create her many different hairstyles, her nails and occasionally her makeup. She enjoyed spending time with her family on both of her parents sides and especially the “Friday Night Family Get Togethers” with her dad’s side of the family. Kiara loved shopping, going to Blue Chip Casino and was really looking forward to traveling. She was employed at Hearthside Bakery prior to her death.

Kiara left behind to mourn her passing, her mother, Allison (Anthony) Barth; her father, Robert (Amanda) Hootman; four sisters, Kaytlin (Jesse) Rodriguez, Mariah (Coty) East, Destini (DJ) Hootman, and Maddy Hootman; four brothers, Kevin Hootman, Robert (Emalie) Hootman, Anthony (Selena) Hootman, and Chris (Julia) Hootman; her “sister” cousin, Tionna Edwards; maternal grandmother, Jane Barth; maternal grandfather, Dennis (Margaret) Barth; paternal grandfather, Anthony “Amp “ Crittendon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her unborn child; her uncle, Randy Edwards; and her paternal grandmother, Debbie Crittendon.
