Daniel Charles Foster

September 15, 1947 - July 22, 2024

 

Daniel Charles Foster, 76, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Northwest Health-La Porte.

Daniel was born on September 15, 1947, in La Porte, IN, to Eugene and Dorothy (Flickenger) Foster.

On January 31, 1970 in La Porte, he married Karla Carnes who survives.

Also surviving are his 2 sons, Daniel Scott (Rachael Diggs) Foster of Elkhart and Brian (Kristen) Foster of Plainfield, IL; 3 grandchildren, Cayden, Andrew, and Izabella Foster of Plainfield, IL; sister, Julie Brown of CA; brother, Dale (Diane) Foster of TX; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parent; 2 brothers, William and David Foster; sister-in-law, Carol Foster; and brother-in-law, George Brown. Daniel was extremely proud to have served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War.

Daniel was a member of St. Johns' Lutheran Church.

He worked many years in construction and local manufacturing. Daniel was an avid mechanic and loved his cars and boats. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR.

Daniel's grandchildren and sons were his pride and joy.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Kiwanis-Teledyne Park Pavilion, 1126-1198 Pine Lake Ave, La Porte, IN 46350.
