Austin Jay Jones, 29, of La Porte, Indiana, unexpectedly passed away from a vehicle accident, on Wednesday, July 4, 2024.

Austin was born in La Porte, IN, on October 25, 1994 to Kelly J. and Jennifer J.(Blint) Jones.

On May 18, 2018 in Columbia, IN, he married Chloe Holley who survives. Also surviving are his 3 sons, Avery J., Adrian E., and Atlas R. Jones; brother, Tyler Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda and Donald G. Blint, Sr.,; Big grandma, Edna Jones; great-grandparents, "Peg" and Donald Haverstock; great, great-grandma, Edna Haverstock; and beloved Aunt Bobbie Jean Lynn.

Austin was a sales associate at an area truck stop. He enjoyed participating in YMCA basketball, playing video games, and watching NBA, being a huge Kobe Bryant fan. Prior to his death, Austin was working on starting a sports podcast.

Most importantly, Austin was a very loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He will be fondly remembered for always putting his sons and family first.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Monroe Jones, Jr. officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor's choice.
