Joseph A. Gambill, Sr.

November 4, 1945 - June 19, 2024

Joseph A. Gambill, Sr., 78, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 4:30 pm in his home.

A celebration of life gathering will from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 23, 2301 Ohio St., Michigan City, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born November 4, 1945 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Walter and Loretta (Ahern) Gambill.

On December 21, 1979 in Michigan City, IN he married Lynn Mallon who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Surviving are a daughter, Kerri (Will) Marsh of Eu Claire, MI; two sons, Joseph (Angela) Gambill, Jr. of South Bend, IN and Jason (Trinity Wegiel) Gambill of Michigan City, IN; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Gambill.

Joseph retired as a driver at UPS.

He was a member of Moose Family Center 980, Elk's Lodge 432, F.O.P. Dunes Lodge 75, D.A.V Chapter 23 and the Sons of the American Legion.

Joseph enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing softball, shooting pool, Indy Car Racing and being with his family and friends.
