Coltyn Thomas Nowatzke, 27, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, at 8:32 am in Northwest Health-La Porte.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 16th, 2024, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Brian Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday and from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral chapel.    

 

He was born March 19th, 1997, in Michigan City, IN to Damon and Cheryl (Mowinski) Nowatzke who survive in Michigan City, IN. 

 

Also surviving are two sisters, Lawryn (Brenden) Teitge of Valparaiso, IN and Jaelyn Nowatzke of Michigan City, IN; brother, Awstyn Nowatzke of La Porte, IN; two nieces, Aubree and Emmalee; nephew, Weslee; and numerous extended family members.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Larry "Mo" Mowinski, and Elmer and Faith Nowatzke. 

 

Coltyn worked in food service and was a German Tutor while attending Valparaiso University. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, hunting, and his German Shepherd Macee.
