Adelle "Del" Elizabeth (Zeza) Niles

Adelle "Del" Elizabeth (Zeza) Niles, 92, passed away peacefully in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at 4:44 am with family at her side.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Rev. David Kime officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, IN.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Tuesday at the funeral chapel.   

 

She was born August 29th, 1931, in Chicopee, Massachusetts to the late Stanley and Mary (Duross) Zeza. Adelle was married to Elvin "Lucky" Niles on February 19th, 1955, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. 

 

She will be missed by her two daughters, Deborah (Donald) Rogers of Trail Creek, Indiana, and Marlene (Kenneth) Wenclaff of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Grandchildren, Stephen Rogers, Jeffrey (Ashley) Rogers, Nicholas Wenclaff, Cory (Jamie) Wenclaff, and five great-grandchildren.

 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, "Lucky"; her grandson Stephen, and one sister, Carolynn M. Bartlett of South Hadley, Massachusetts.   

 

Adelle was a homemaker but worked briefly at Catholic Charities in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and was the former co-owner of A & L Furniture in Michigan City, Indiana. She liked to travel and visited 49 states, camping boating, fishing, going for rides to the beach, and playing bingo. Adelle was a long-time parishioner of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Michigan City, Indiana, and the Moose Family Center #980, Trail Creek, Indiana. 


She was an Owner at A & L Furniture.
