James Kozlowski, age 81, of Porter, Indiana, passed away after a long fight with Lewy Body Dementia, on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, in LaPorte, Indiana. He was born on April 9th, 1942, in LaPorte, Indiana, to Clem and Helen (Witek) Kozlowski. James married Beth E. Kozlowski on April 5th, 1991, in Valparaiso IN.

James is survived by his loving wife, Beth Kozlowski; daughter, Ann Marie (Raymond Stone) Fraze; grandchildren, Cameron (Angie) Fraze, Matthew Fraze, Navy LCDR Benjamin (Eva) Kozlowski; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Helen Kozlowski; son, Timothy J. Kozlowski; brother, Ron Kozlowski; and sister-in-law, Sharon Kozlowski.

James graduated from Elston High School in Michigan City, IN, and attended Purdue University. He worked for Brunswick and later worked for McGills, which took him and Beth to Florida for several years, they returned to Indiana where he started working for ADT. After retiring from ADT he work for Target in Valparaiso for 9 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton IN. James was an avid golfer and was in several golf leagues. He was a dedicated White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. He absolutely loved spending quality time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton, IN 46304. A luncheon will follow at Chapel Hall. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2024, from 9:00 am until the time of mass at 10:00 am at the church.
