Eva (Trotsky) Pierzakowski

Eva (Trotsky) Pierzakowski passed away peacefully at her home on March 20th, 2024.

 

She was born in Parchevichi Bevezovichi, Poland, on June 5th, 1926. Eva was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Pierzakowski, her parents Roman and Pelageya Trotsky, and two brothers Adam and John Trotsky. Eva is survived by her sister, Maria Johnson, and her children Geneva Nudd, Bruno (Barbara) Pierzakowski, John (Pam) Pierzakowski, Don Pierzakowski, and Mike (Lisa) Pierzakowski.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren who brought light into her life as well as ten great-grandchildren in whom her legacy will live on.  She was a source of strength for them throughout their lives.

 

Eva's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She emigrated to the United States in 1951 and settled in La Porte in 1964. Eva found solace and purpose as a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist church, where she dedicated many years to volunteering before the challenges posed by the pandemic.

 

Eva's green thumb was evident to all who knew her; she found joy in tending to her garden and nurturing a variety of fruits such as raspberries and strawberries. Her passion for gardening not only bloomed flowers but also cultivated a sense of tranquility and beauty around her.

 

Eva Pierzakowski's life was a testament to resilience, faith, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration during this time of sorrow.

 

Rest in peace, dear Eva. Your love will continue to bloom in our hearts forever.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26th from 5 to 8 PM.  A life celebration will be held at the La Porte Seventh-Day Adventist Church 1480 Boyd Blvd. La Porte, IN 46350 on Wednesday, March 27th with visitation starting at 11 am and service to begin at Noon with Pastor Wayne Morrison officiating.  Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the La Porte Seventh-Day Adventist Church or school at 1480 Boyd Blvd. La Porte, IN  46350.
