Charles Goodman Jr., 49, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at Northwest Health-La Porte.

 

He was born May 16th, 1974, in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Charles Goodman Sr. and Beverly (Cooley) Goodman.

 

Charles was a twin who loved spending time with his brother and special friend Walter. He graduated from La Porte High School in 1994. Charles held a paper route for many years, he was acquainted with many residents of La Porte.  He loved watching professional wrestling. His favorite wrestlers were Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Charles enjoyed playing cards and board games with his family. He also loved just being in the outdoors. He was known for having the kindest heart and would literally give you the shirt off his back. There never was a kinder soul. 

 

On February 14, 2018, in La Porte, IN, he married Melissa Kay (Hill) Goodman, who survives.

 

He is also survived by his sister, Amanda (Brad) West of Michigan City, IN; step-son, Seth Daniel (Brianna) Wilhem of La Porte, IN; two nephews, Landon and Argyll; four cousins, Dustin, Travis, Noah, and Dylan and his Aunt Sherry Strieter of La Porte. 

 

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Walter Goodman.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A visitation will take place Saturday, January 27th at the La Porte Assembly of God church beginning at 10 am followed by A Celebration of Life at 11 am. A luncheon will be served after the celebration. Cremation has taken place.
