Paul Edward Tobalt

With sadness, we announce the passing of Paul Edward Tobalt the eleventh, who lived in Michigan City, IN.  He died at the age of 75 years old.  Paul passed away, surrounded by his family, on January 13th, 2024.  He had battled for a long time with multiple illnesses.

 

Per Paul's request, there will be no funeral services.  He requested to be cremated.

 

Paul was born on December 18th, 1948, in Lynwood, CA to Paul H. Tobalt and Olive G. Rousher-Ballard.

 

On January 12th, 1996, he married Tracy Berry who survives. Also surviving are his 11 children, Becky Spencer of Kingsbury, Tracy (Jason) Nicholson of Portage, Lance Halderman of Michigan City, Amelia Tobalt of Michigan City, Paul E. Tobalt the twelfth of Lafayette, Dustin Tobalt of Michigan City, Lawrence Tobalt of Copperas Cove, TX, Michael Tobalt of Michigan City, Angel Clark of Omaha, NE, Christine Fear of Tippecanoe, and Robert Johnson of Chicago, IL; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 1 grandson.

 

Paul proudly served in the United States Army.

 

He owned his own paint and body shop as well as worked for Diamond Security Co.  Paul previously worked as a security officer.  At the end of the day, Paul was most passionate about old classic cars and trucks, which he enjoyed collecting.

 

Paul really loved spending time with all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was very passionate and loved his family until the end.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
