Susan Melinda Belue, 69, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

 

She was born June 27th, 1954, in La Porte, IN, the daughter of Gary and Melinda (Stringer) Gaddy.

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Susan was a graduate of La Porte High School and worked for Aero Metals until her retirement in 2018. She was a member of The United Church of God for over 40 years. On February 21st, 2007, in Knox, IN, Susan married Adam J. Belue. She had many interests, including tent camping, fishing, and cooking out with her family.  Susan was a gemologist who especially loved to value diamonds. She had 3 Springer Spaniels, Browning, Mel, and Lizzy, and spent the past 20 years breeding and raising puppies, which were delivered all across the U.S. Most importantly, Susan was an excellent wife and mom who was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

 

She is also survived by her husband of 16 years, Adam; her step-mother, Marie Gaddy of Kingsford Heights; her daughter, Dana Moss of Mill Creek, IN; brother, Terry (Jackie) Gaddy of Mill Creek, IN, sister, Kelly (Steve) Schemenauer of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Bryce Trumble, Denai Livergood, Nolan Livergood, Chase Moss, Alyssa Leighann; many nieces and nephews and great friends.

 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Randy Gaddy and her beloved son, Thadeus Moss.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 5:00 p.m.  Pastor Devin Schulz, United Church of God, will officiate. Interment will be private.
