Sherry Marlene Martin, 79, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 27th, 2023. Sherry was born on May 16th, 1944, to Floyd and Eunice (Burger) Lane.

 

Sherry is survived by sons, John (Brenda, deceased, March 30th, 2023) Martin of La Porte, Michael (Tammy) Martin of La Porte; daughter, Jennifer (Tony) Hibner of Michigan City; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Lane and Sandy Butler; step-siblings, Marvin and Earl Berger. 

 

Sherry was married to Rickey Martin on April 2nd, 1972. He preceded her in death on February 6th, 2021, She was also preceded by her parents; siblings, Robert Lane, Cleona Scott, and Jule Onken; and a step-sister, Rosemary Shidler. 

 

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30 pm. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at IBEW Local 531, Electricians Hall, 2751 IN-39, La Porte, Indiana.
