Ronald Clarence Bond, 80, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away on Sat. Nov. 25th, 2023, in his home.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 North Barton Street, New Buffalo, MI.

 

Ronald was born on May 29th, 1943, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Clarence and Rose Bond.

 

He married Betty Kirk on March 3rd, 1987, in Las Vegas, NV; she preceded him in death on Oct. 1st, 2018.

 

Ron was a retired carpenter and spent many years in the New Buffalo City Fire Department.

 

He is survived by his children – Randy (Angie) Bond of Coloma, MI, Russell Bond of Kissimmee, FL, Dennis (Beth) Kellogg of LaPorte, IN, Dale (Debbie) Kellogg of Valparaiso, IN, Bambi (John) Papes of LaPorte, IN and Dawn (Brian) Trusha of New Buffalo, MI; 17 grandchildren – Joshua Pratt, Daniel Pratt, Matthew Bond, Thomas Bond, Megan (Andrew) Peters, Christopher (Megan) Lonske, Alyse (Mike) Flores, Ryan (Lindsey) Doperalski, Joshua (Emily) Kellogg, Evan (Tamarah) Doperalski, Cole (Sky) Kellogg, Ethan (Emily) Lonske, Logan Doperalski, Rylee Lonske, Katherine Doperalski, Avery Lonske, and Ellamarie Lonske; 3 great-grandchildren – Aubrey, Gracie, and Eleanor; and a sister – Betty Lachman of Stevensville, MI.

 

Private services will be held with committal at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo.
