Judith Kay Kraus, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at Northwest Health-La Porte, IN

 

She was born July 31st, 1942, in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Carl Hubner and Catherine (Thompson) Hubner.

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Judith worked in production at McCormick and Co. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.  Judith enjoyed working on puzzles and tending to her flowers.  She loved going to the lake and attending Arts in the Park. Her favorite place to eat was McDonald's and her favorite singer was "The King", Elvis Presley.  She was a homebody at heart and when she was with her grandchildren, she was the happiest.

 

Judith is survived by her two daughters, Diana (Brian) Ford of La Porte, IN, Laurie (Michael) Lenk of Aurora, OH; son, Michael Kraus of La Porte, IN; two sisters, Nancy Kennedy of Avon, IN, Janice Euler of Carmel, IN; five grandchildren, Amanda Lenk, Jamie (Jordan Gosciniak) Novak, Ashley (Kody) Kubik, Austyn (Reese) McKee, Allie Kraus; four great-grandchildren, Hallee Novak, Nicholas Novak, Karlee Kubik, Kaleb Kubik; 

 

Judith was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Carl Hubner.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN.  A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m.  Cremation has taken place.
