Elizabeth "Beth" Strakowski

Elizabeth "Beth" Strakowski, 91, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at Miller's Health and Rehab in La Porte, IN.

 

She was born February 11th, 1932, in Michigan City, IN, the daughter of Walter Andrew Strakowski Sr. and Frances (Rozinski) Strakowski

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Beth graduated from Michigan City High School and was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, Michigan City, IN. She worked with Josam for many years before her retirement with Sullair. In her younger days, Beth enjoyed playing softball with her siblings and filled her life caring for her grandfather and her daughter, Dawn. She loved everything Disney and went to Disney World every year. Beth enjoyed going to the casino and she was a huge fan of Elvis, Lucille Ball, and the Chicago Cubs, always looking forward to going to the games and the Cubs convention.

 

She is survived by her brothers, James Strakowski of Michigan City, IN, Richard (Marilyn) Strakowski of Cincinnati, OH; brother-in-law Wally Kroening; close friends, David and Margie Strzyzykowski, Beth Stantz and several nieces and nephews.

 

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dawn Marie Strakowski; brothers, Walter A. (Doris) Strakowski Jr., Robert G. (Jean) Strakowski; daughter, Virginia Kroening; sister-in-law, Rita Strakowski   

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN. Cremation has been selected.

 

Her family would like to thank the Center for Hospice Care, Helping Hands in Home Care, and Meals on Wheels for their patience and excellent care of Elizabeth.
