Marian L Phillips, 95, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at her home. 

 

She was born August 28th, 1928 in Marshall, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Bessie Pike.

 

She is survived by her son, Steven (Lydia) Phillips; daughters, Charon Hudson, Brenda (Jay) Noyes, Susan (Phillip) Schmidt; grandchildren, Dawn (David) Gilmore, Taira Tracy, Robert Schmidt, Mindy (Terry) Pierce, Wayne (Tse) Brie, Bobby Brie; great-grandchildren, Heather, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Amber.

 

Marian was a baptized Lutheran who expressed her faith and joy with her life. She enjoyed doing various crafts, making jewelry, and knitting afghans, which she would donate to nursing homes in the area. She was a very outgoing person who loved people and never met a stranger. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN. Cremation will take place.
