Christopher "Chris" Tuley, 59, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 at his home.

 

He was born October 3rd, 1963 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Guy Tuley and Elsie Louise (Reinhold) Tuley.

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Christopher graduated from New Prairie High School and worked as a printer for Swartz Paper Company in La Porte, IN.  Christopher loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked riding his four-wheeler around his property and was an avid amateur photographer. The things in nature were some of his favorite subjects.  Chris also enjoyed woodworking. He had a vegetable garden every year, much of which he canned and preserved. His dogs, Rudy and Buddy, were his constant companions. He was always willing to offer a helping hand. His kind heart and his gentle nature will be dearly missed by his family, and all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.

 

Christopher is survived by two nephews, Timothy Napiwocki of South Bend, IN, Gregory (Michelle) Napiwocki of La Porte, IN; niece, Melissa (Larry) Whitaker of La Porte, IN; 

 

Christopher was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Victoria Tuley Napiwocki.  

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN.  Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Christopher's Life Service is planned for Friday, October 13th, 2023, at Haverstock Funeral Home, La Porte, with visitation from 11:00-1:00 and service at 1:00 p.m., all central time. Pastor Nate Loucks, State Street Church, will officiate.
