Police Release Details of Motorcycle Crashes

(La Porte County, IN) - Police have just released details on a collision involving a car and more than one motorcycle in Rolling Prairie last weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, 65 year old Marilyn Jones veered across the center line in her car and struck an oncoming motorcycle on U.S. 20 and 400 East.

That motorcycle was driven by 43 year old Brent Kline, who was taken by helicopter to a Chicago hospital.  Another motorcyclist, 39 year old Ty Taverner wiped out from turning sharply to avoid the car.

Jones and her 61 year old husband, Anthony, were not hurt.

According to police, Kline’s injuries included fractures to both legs.  However, police say they were not able to obtain information on the other injuries he sustained.

The injured motorcyclists were part of a group all riding together.

Police say there was no alcohol in the system of the driver who caused the accident, which shutdown U.S. 20 for an extended period Saturday evening.
