John Allen Lewis, 54, of La Porte, IN, formerly of FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023.

 

John was born in Toledo, OH, on June 2nd, 1969 to Donald Lewis and Margery (Pizer) Kramer.

 

Surviving John are his 3 children, Nathan, Hannah, and Sarah Lewis, all of La Porte; father and step-mother, Donald and Emily Lewis of Eustis, FL; step-father, Steve Kramer of Perrysburg, OH; sister, Barbara Grace of Mount Dora, FL; former wife of 20 years, Sommer Lewis of La Porte; as well as his loving extended family.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Brian Lewis.

 

John's work in missions influenced his desire to help others.  This desire was displayed through his work as a Marriage & Family Counselor.  He loved to cook and was very passionate about playing his guitar.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

 

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Matt Ohime officiating.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
