Victor "Vic" S. Bohannon, 74, passed away on Monday, September 25th, 2023, at Life Care Center in Michigan City, Indiana. 

  

Victor was born on April 6th, 1949, in Long Beach, CA, to Fred and Beverly (Pease) Bohannon. 

  

Surviving are his mother, Beverly Bohannon of Newport, NC; siblings, Julie Barthel of Newport, NC and Steven (Julie) Bohannon of Westville, IN; as well as 5 nephews and his niece. 

  

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Floyd and Madge Pease. 

  

Vic was always in a positive and happy mood. Many that have described him, have said that he was a “very sweet man”.  Up until a year ago, Vic spent his time at Paladin Day Program.  During the warmer months, while at Paladin, most of his time was spent sitting outside enjoying the warm weather and being at the park.  He enjoyed his cup of coffee and most importantly, food.  He had a love for music and watching movies.  When Vic was younger, he loved eating fried chicken and would always try to beat his nephews by seeing who could eat the most pieces.   

  

A special thank you to all the caring staff of Life Care Center who took exceptional care of Vic up to his last day. 

  

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  Interment will take place at Lamb's Chapel Cemetery at a later date.
