Marilee Rae Snyder, 80, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 8th, 2023 at NW Health-La Porte.

 

She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 8th, 1943, the daughter of Kenneth Charles and Elma June (Smith) Schultz.

 

Marilee graduated from High school in Whitehall, MI and went on to take some business classes before working as an accountant for the state of Arizona.  On November 30th, 1996, in Laughlin, NV, she married Douglas Snyder, who preceded her in death on September 1st, 2021.  They moved to La Porte in 2006. Marilee was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 564 Auxiliary, the PRCU, and the American Legion Hamon Gray Post 83 Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and taking casino trips. Marilee was a fan of the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Cowboys. More recently, she loved playing games on her tablet and phone. Most precious to her, though, were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Mussman of La Porte, IN; daughter, Sheri (Duane) Semon of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Christina Eriks of La Porte, Michelle (Luke) Nell of La Porte, Matthew (Blair) Semon of Phoenix, AZ, Jack (Julia) Semon of Cumming, GA, Jenna Semon of Phoenix, AZ and lots of great grand-children.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN. Cremation will take place.
