Lynn M. Edwards

Lynn M. Edwards, 55, of North Las Vegas, NV,  lost her battle with MS at 9:13PM on 8/12/23 at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

Lynn was born on 03/23/1968 to the late Albert “Jack” & Janet (Skierkowski) Edwards. Surviving are her brother Mike (Kristie) Edwards of Wilmette, IL & her sister Gail (Jeff) Koon of La Porte, IN, 5 nephews- Jackson & Clayton Edwards, Lucas Hobart, Gavin & Gage Koon, 2 nieces-Kate Edwards & Emily Hobart, Godmother Barbara Skierkowski, special friends & caregivers Joenell & Cindy Collins and Joenell Collins Jr of Las Vegas, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

Lynn was a 1986 graduate of Elston High School & attended Indiana University. In 1993 she graduated from Porter Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. Lynn worked as a Radiologic Technologist at St Anthony Hospital from 1993 til 1996. She moved to Las Vegas. in 1996.

 

Over the last 30 years Lynn had held a number of imaging roles.  Lynn started working at Sunrise Hospital in November of 1996 as a CT technologist and Mountain View Hospital also as a C.T. Technologist. Her transition into IT came in 2004 when she became a PACS Administrator. Lynn was employed by HCA Healthcare Far West Division where this past March she was promoted to Division Consulting Imaging Systems Administrator. Lynn had a great spirit & so much passion for her work. Lynn was working towards a BS degree in Information Technology which was to be completed this fall. When Lynn wasn’t working she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends and listening to the music of “Prince”. She will be remembered as a caring, loving, sentimental & dedicated person. We will miss her smile & her sense of humor and as she often said “Just kidding”. Rest in Peace “Lynnie the Pooh”.

 

Cremation will take place with a graveside committal at St Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery Michigan City, IN on Friday, 9/8/23 at 1100AM. Following the service, a celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at St Stanislaus Kostka Church Hall. Family & friends are invited to attend. In honor of Lynn, you are invited to wear her favorite color, purple. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
