Judith O. Greenberg

Judith O. Greenberg, 89, of Rolling Prairie, IN and Chicago, IL, passed away quietly on Friday, July 28th, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family

 

Judith was born on November 2th, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN, to Dennis and Georgia (Brass) O'Harrow.

 

After a whirlwind romance, she married Aubrey J. Greenberg in Chicago, IL, on October 30th, 1957. Surviving Judith are her daughters, Jessica (Eric) Bruozis of Chicago, IL and Georgia (Rob Goldsmith) Greenberg of Wilmette, IL.  She was beloved Nana to her grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Isabel, Joshua, Noah and Aria; and great-great grandson Jackson. Also surviving Judith are her brothers, Stephen O’Harrow of Honolulu, HI and Peter O’Harrow of Camel, CA; as well as treasured nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan (Lurrie Bell) Greenberg; and her cherished husband, Aubrey.

 

Judith attended the University of Indiana where she was a member of the Tri Delta sorority. After graduation, she was an advertising copywriter at Sears Roebuck and Co. She was a board member and benefactor of the Victory Gardens theater in Chicago, IL for many years.  Judith also loved attending the theater and she and Aubrey were long-time subscribers to Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Steppenwolf theater.  She was an exceptional cook and loved traveling, skiing, and trying new restaurants.  Judith was a huge fan of both the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bulls.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
