James R. "Moe" Petoskey, 66, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at 12:56 am in his home.

 

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

 

He was born on February 25th, 1957 in Michigan City, IN. On September 15th, 2000 in Nashville, TN he married Sherry Czilli who survives in La Porte, IN.

 

Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa (Timothy) Becker of Westville, IN; three grandchildren, Dylan, Ryder, and Bree Becker; his mother, Carolyn (Jim) Bowers of Michigan City, IN; a sister, Cindy Kautz of La Porte, IN; a niece, Beth Bortz and great-nephews Cameron, Braden Tucker, and Ryland Bortz all of La Porte IN.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, James Petoskey.

 

Moe retired as a steelworker at Cleveland Cliffs. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading, and gardening.
