Glen Dale Hodges, 63, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday July 24th, 2023 at Fountain View Terrace in La Porte, IN.

 

Glen was born November 20th, 1959 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Charles Eugene Hodges and Helen (Kleben) Hodges. He spent much of his life in Portage, Indiana. Following high school, he worked as a maintenance supervisor/maintenance planner for Carmeuse Lime and Stone. Glen's passion for the great outdoors started when he was a young boy camping with his brothers. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and even sitting down to read a good book every once in a while. He had a love for airplanes volunteering at the Porter County Airshow's and had begun working towards becoming a pilot himself. Glen brought a smile to all and will be missed by all who knew him. 

 

Glen is survived by his son, Lancelot D (Beth) Hodges of Gillette, WY; two brothers, Rodney (Mary) Hodges of LaPorte, IN, Rex (Diane) Hodges of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Melanie (Dennis) Mitchell of Portage, IN; three nephews, Bobby Hodges, Brian Mitchell, Greg Mitchell; two nieces, Laura Hodges, Carrie Mitchell; three grandchildren, Austin (Cassie) Dolson, Zacharcy Hodges, Ashton Hodges; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Willow.

 

Glen was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cherie Jasmine Hodges.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN. Cremation will take place.
