Charles Eugene Nickerson, 70, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at 6:30 am in Aperion Care -  Michigan City.

 

Private services will be conducted. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

 

He was born April 14th, 1953 in South Bend, IN to the late Eugene and Nona (Chandonia) Nickerson. On July 1st, 1978 in Michigan City, IN he married Sandra Collins who survives in Michigan City, IN.

 

Also surviving are two sisters, Linda Bratton of Arkansas and Janice (Jim) Chapman of Michigan City, IN; brother, Eugene Nickerson of South Bend, IN; nieces, Kimberly French, Tammy Bratton, Marie Armstrong, Violet Wheat, Tammy Chapman, Becky Thompson and Susie Mendoza; and nephews, Raymond Nagy, Robert Nagy, Cody Bratton, Tommy Bratton, Jr. and Jimmy Chapman.

 

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Roxann Nickerson; and nephew Danny Chapman.   

 

Charles retired from the housekeeping department at Franciscan Health - Michigan City. He enjoyed yard work and volunteering for various organization.
