Carla J. Buskirk, 73, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 14th, 2023 at 8:46 am in Michigan City, Indiana.

 

A Celebration of Life Memorial gathering will take place and be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana.

 

She was born October 29th, 1949 in San Jose, California to the late Fred and Audrey (Wood) Vermillion.  On July 21st, 1968 in California she married William C. Buskirk who preceded her in death on October 25th, 2022.  Surviving are daughter, Renee Buskirk of Michigan City, Indiana; son, William A. (Elizabeth) Buskirk of Michigan City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brent Tyler Buskirk, Erin Alyxandria (Jordin Agemy) Buskirk, William Evan Buskirk, Emily Alysse Buskirk, and Ethan Andrew Buskirk,  two nephews, Robert (Allison) Harper of Colma, Michigan, and Brian (Anita) Leedy of California; niece, Tracy (Jason) Spaulding of Colma, Michigan;  several nieces, nephews and cousins; She was preceded in death by sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and William Leedy; along with a nephew, Michael Leedy;   

 

Carla worked for Meijer Supermarket, Michigan City, Indiana store  for 18 years as Head Service Representative.  She was an auxiliary member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Danny Bruce Chapter 23 and a life member of the Wall Gang, Michigan City, Indiana.
