Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Januchowski, 81, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 6th, 2023 at 2:28 a.m., in his home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana 46360. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

 

He was born July 8th, 1941, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Clem and Dorothy (Jasienicki) Januchowski. On January 5th, 1963, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Elizabeth Ann (Satchell) Januchowski, who survives.

 

Also surviving are his three children, Chris (Cindy Cole) Januchowski of Michigan City, Indiana, Lori Timmons of Salisbury, Maryland, and Scott (Angie) Januchowski of Michigan City, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kristin Pfledderer, Baily Januchowski, Brandon Mohan, and Makenzie Mohan; four great-grandchildren, Addison and Mia Moser, Levi Mohan, and Greyson Long. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Januchowski.

 

Ronnie honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a current member of St. Mary the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Michigan City. Also a union member of Michigan City Musicians Union. Ronnie was formerly the drummer of the band, White Angus, as well as many other bands over the years. He will be remembered as being very social, making people laugh, and always having a good story to tell. Ronnie will be dearly missed.
