Clarence R. Holliday, 93, of Walkerton, passed away on Sunday, July 2th, 2023 at Northwest Health - La Porte.  He left this earth with a great testimony for the Lord.

 

Clarence was born on January 7th, 1930 in Swampton, KY, to Luther Lee and Dora May (Bailey) Holliday.

 

On June 30th, 1951 in Knox, IN, he married Rosetta Parks who preceded him in death.  Surviving Clarence are his children, Olean Holliday of Ft. Oglethrope, GA, Terry (Daniel) Thompson of Kingsbury, IN, Lawona K. Holliday of Middlebury, IN, Vanessa (Robert) Kime of Summerville, SC, Clarence (Imogene) E. Holliday of Walkerton, IN, and Kathryn (Michael) Emerson of Kingsford Heights, IN; 27 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 23 great, great-grandchildren; 19 great, great, great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Charles (Fay) Holiday of Salyersville, KY, Ronald "Dude" (Jewell) Holliday of Stanton, KY, and Donald (Sue) Holliday of Salyersville, KY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Alex Ray Holliday; sister, Mildred Bailey; and 2 brothers, Jilson Holliday and James "JD" Daniel Holliday.

 

Clarence was an auto mechanic.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling, hunting, visiting with friends and family, and living in KY.  Clarence was often found fondly reminiscing about past days.  He was a member of South Center United Baptist Church since 1967.  Clarence will be fondly remembered for giving nicknames to those he loved!

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10th, 2023 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. John White and Rev. Joe White officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9th, 2023 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
