Charlotte "Dolly” Marguerite Schultz, 92, of Mishawaka, passed away on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare-Fountainview Care Center, Mishawaka.

 

Dolly was born on December 16th, 1930 in Michigan City, IN, to Arthur C. and Gertrude Dora (Arens) Ransom.

 

On December 1st, 1951, she married Richard John Schultz who preceded her in death.  Surviving Dolly are her sons, Richard (Brenda) Schultz of Cleremont, FL, Garry (Lori) Schultz of Osceola, and Alan (Jan) Schultz of Timmonsville, SC; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all siblings.

 

Dolly worked in food service at La Porte High School for 18 yrs.  She was a previous Meals on Wheels Client Coordinator, retiring in 2006 when she transitioned to being a volunteer.

 

She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of La Porte.  Dolly’s greatest enjoyment was the time she was able to spend with her family and friends and also her work with Meals on Wheels.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at The Presbyterian Church of La Porte.  Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
