Ruby May Jones, 68, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, June 19th, 2023 at Life Care Center of Michigan City. 

   

She was born in Colorado Springs, CO, on July 3rd, 1954 to Tony and Dessie (Atencio) Brito. 

 

Ruby enjoyed over 20 years of marriage to John Jones, who preceded her in death.  Surviving Ruby are her children, Jason (Lucky) Milton of Elkhart and Laura (Shawn Fear) Milton of La Porte; 2 grandchildren, Hayden Milton and Arya Fear; father, Tony Brito of Colorado Springs, CO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Frank Brito; and sister, Josie Romero.

 

Ruby worked as a caretaker for several years.  She was a member of the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Puxico, MO.  Ruby enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Bob Vale officiating.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.  Cremation will take place following the service.
