Jeanette C. Buell

Jeanette C. Buell, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 4th, 2023 at 12:07 PM in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle, Indiana.

 

Funeral services will be held at Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the Ottt/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until the service time in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.   

 

She was born March 1st, 1931 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Henry R. and Pauline (Spang) Neulieb. On February 12, 1949 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Richard A. Buell who preceded her in death on February 24, 2013. Surviving are daughter, Katherine (John) Roach of Michigan City, Indiana; four sons, Richard K. (Dava) Buell of Michigan City, Indiana, Douglas L. (Renee) Buell of Michigan City, Indiana, Thomas J. (Deborah) Buell of La Porte, Indiana, and Wayne A. (Catherine) Buell of Michigan City, Indiana;  14 grandchildren, Jason Draves, Stephanie (Brian) Tarpo, Adam (Stacy) Buell, Matt Buell, Mark (Kathy) Buell, Nolan Buell, Ryan Buell, Dylan Buell, Damon (Paige) Buell, Brandt Buell, Jacob Buell, Miles (Alexis) Buell, Taylor (Nate) Buell-Brown, and Parker Buell; 16 great-grandchildren along with 2 great-great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Meyer, Henrietta Wagner; and a brother, Arthur Neulieb;   

 

She was a loving mother and devoted wife, Jeanette spent much of her life raising her five children and managing the home front.  There was a period that she worked at Jonathon Logan, Lighthouse Place Mall, Michigan City, Indiana.  In her spare time, she loved sewing, crocheting, horse back riding, baking and above all spending time with her family.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family would like to thank the staff from Dunes Hospice and Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle for the special care provided to Jeanette.
