Kathy Sue Boehnlein, 64, Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at 9:30 pm in Esther's House Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart, IN surrounded by her family and friends.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 24th, 2023 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. David Kime offiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am -9:45 am Monday in the Queen of All Saints Legacy Center and the Rosary will be recited at 9:45am Monday in the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

 

She was born October 13th, 1958 in Michigan City, IN to the late Arnold and Lottie (Semla) Boehnlein. 

 

Surviving are two sisters, Dolores (Arne) Karlsen of Gadsden, AL and Jean (Scott) Krantz of Hot Springs Village, AR; two brothers, Robert (Kathleen) Boehnlein of AZ, Arnold Boehnlein, Jr. of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; special friends, Cindy and Randy Brunt, Eddie Hoelyfield, Paul and Cindy Lutes and Barbara, Tim and Ryan Johnson; and also her breakfast club. 

 

Kathy had worked as a shipping clerk at Gunite, Elkhart, IN. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends.
